You are not allowed to take pictures of the police or security while they are on duty without asking permission first - they will confiscate your film or camera.  I got yelled at when taking this picture of Mao - I think because they thought I was holding up traffic but I stepped smartly after that through the gate !!  A bit early in the trip to get thrown in jail !!
