Fohlfield Workshop - 2008

In August I was able to spend a week at home working with my dad building some end tables according to his own custom design - a cherry top with three hand forged legs

We had a really good time trying out his new gas powered forge and other neat tools like the fly press which we used to flatten and straighten our work, the automatic band saw and every abrasive known to man!

All the while we had some Django Reinhardt on the cd player - a set of recordings he did with the Armed Forces Transport Command during WW2.

It was hot and humid and lots of thunder storms - at one point I remember thinking I had been hearing thunder for 90 minutes and it had not started raining yet!
