August 2004 Tackling Half Dome !nick fohl12/29/2004 We went in August to give us the maximum amount of daylight but we also managed to time it with a super hot day! it was about 100 degrees down on the Valley floor. A fun day but we definitely felt the effects of the heat - it was dark when we all made it off the mountain and I got down on my hands and knees and actually kissed the pavement of the road through the campgrounds. |
